Amanda Cox is board certified in pediatrics and in allergy and immunology. From 2008 to 2014, she was an assistant professor of pediatrics on the medical faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she worked at the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute, which is renowned for patient care and groundbreaking research in the field of pediatric food allergy. She has gained special expertise in caring for infants, children, and adolescents who have severe and extensive food allergic issues. She also currently is the president of the New York Allergy and Asthma Society and is an involved member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, where she also serves on the Adverse Reactions to Foods Committee. In 2014, Amanda joined ProHEALTH Care Associates to practice pediatric allergy and immunology in Brooklyn, New York. Amanda graduated cum laude from Columbia University (where she met Anthony and Dina) with a bachelor of arts in American history, and attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine (with Dina). She completed her residency in pediatrics as well as a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Persephone is a board-certified developmental-behavioral pediatrician. She is the chief of the Division of Developmental Medicine at Nemours /Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. She sees patients in Wilmington, Delaware, and Voorhees, New Jersey. Persephone graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor of arts in biology and psychology, and completed medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where she met Dina and Anthony. Persephone completed her fellowship in developmental- behavioral pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital during which time she earned a master of public health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Janet has been a pediatric dietitian for over 12 years. She is a board-certified nutrition support dietitian, and holds a certificate of training in childhood and adolescent weight management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration.
She is a private practice pediatric dietitian at Be Well, a Wellness Center in Morristown, New Jersey. She previously worked for over ten years at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian (where she met Anthony).
Janet worked there as the lead dietitian of the adolescent bariatric surgery and medical obesity program. She also gained a vast amount of experience working with children with poor weight gain, too much weight gain, food allergies, and other nutritional issues. She is a published author on adolescent bariatric nutrition, and has presented multiple lectures on pediatric nutrition in various settings.
Janet is the mother of two bright, happy, and energetic children, Sid (4) and Annie (1), who keep her busy and have personally taught her how to manage picky eating in a real world setting, and how not to sweat the small stuff. Susan is a board-certified lactation consultant and has a doctorate in international nutrition. She fell in love with international work in 1980 when she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She worked in dozens of countries in Africa, South-East Asia, and South America as Director of Nutrition for Helen Keller International and as a consultant to organizations such as the United Nations Children’s Fund, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the International Red Cross. She has worked in a private lactation practice since 2002 and served for seven years as a board member of the New York Lactation Consultant Association. Alison is a personal chef, recipe developer and blogger. Alison started her company, AliBabka, in 2013 with a focus on providing personalized menus. She specializes in coming up with creative options for those with dietary restrictions, such as food allergies and kosher restrictions. Over the past five years, Alison has worked for catering companies, restaurants and was the corporate recipe developer for OSEM USA, an Israeli-based food company. Chef Alison graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from the prestigious Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in Manhattan.
